I was in a Sacramento Bee article today!

Warm Hugs Design was featured in an article today and my picture is on the front page of Section D! Niesha Lofing, the article writer meet me a year ago during one of my Foothill Farmers Market Association's farmers market and said she had been waiting for an opportunity to include me in a story. She thought I'd be perfect for this article. It's a wonderful article - so inspiring for crafters especially in this economic time and full of great info. I'm so excited and just wanted to share...

Vintage Chenille Pillow Covers

Here's my latest pillow cover repurposed from a vintage chenille baby blanket. The little bear background chenille is pretty worn, but he was too cute not to use for something! I double lined the pillow cover with the vintage chenille to make it feel thicker. The back is of the same material.

This pillow cover was repurposed from a vintage chenille bedspread. I was able to use part of the fringe from the original end of the bedspread too. Turned out cute. These vintage chenille pillow covers have been a big hit at my markets! Glad you all enjoy them...

Sunbonnet Sue Vintage Pillowcase Dress

I named this vintage pillowcase dress Sunbonnet Sue. Just so fitting. I repurposed this pillowcase into a little girl's dress. Someone has hand embroidered this little darling. So adorable!

I've included a close up photo so you can see the embroidery. Wish I had time to do embroidery projects like this...
